
French QIAO Association (http://qiao.fr), established by Mr. Michel CASTAN, promotion 2005 CPA. When he was in CPA, he touched the Chinese culture, economics, and business. After CPA, he created the QIAO Association with his friends. They use the Chinese characters "QIAO"(means Bridge ) as the association's name, hope that this association can be done as a "link" mission - using Association resources of Bordeaux and Wuhan in central China, even France and China.
This year, Michel and other participant of CPA (entrepreneurs in southwest France), organize together to go to China in early October. It’s specially to visit the Shanghai International Expo 2010. If you are interested, here we introduce you the program of their trip.

DAY 1 [Friday, 01/10] BORDEAUX OR TOULOUSE / PARIS / SHANGHAI
Fly Bordeaux or Toulouse to Shanghai China. Change the aircraft in Paris.
DAY 2 [Saturday, 02/10] SHANGHAI
16h20: arrive at Shanghai Pudong international airport, China.
Shanghai is now a veritable museum of architecture. Here, you will discover the first skyscrapers built in 20 few years , in the both sides of the Huahai Road, there are the French construction, Stunning modern architecture and colonial architecture are perfectly combined together.
We suggest you try the Shanghai Maglev Train, which connects the airport to downtown Pudong in 8 minutes (instead of 1 hour by road), the speed of train is 430 km / h (baggage will be transferred by bus to hotel).
We will focus on modern architecture in Shanghai : the tower of the World Financial Center, 492m tall with 100 floors, the Tower of the Grand Hyatt, Jin Mao Tower(88 floors), the Pearl Tower , gorgeous Avenue of the century, 5 km long and the Grand Opera House, by design the architect Jean-Marie Charpentier.
DAY 3 [Sunday, 03/10] SHANGHAI-SUZHOU / SHANGHAI
Transfer to Shanghai Station (35 min by Train, first class seat).
Along the Grand Canal, Suzhou is caught in a net of canals spanned by ancient stone bridges. Silk, specialty of the city since Tang Dynasty, has remained one of the most important crafts. Suzhou has long been a favorite place for painters, poets and mandarins, who have made arrange splendid gardens.
Visit the Garden of the Humble, the biggest gardens of Suzhou. Its name inspired by the ancient maxim: cultivating his garden to answer his needs, this is why called the policy simple.
The art Museum of Suzhou and its wonderful stone garden, made by the Sino-American architect IM Pei (designer of the Louvre pyramid). The exhibition space has 5,000 square meters. It collects a number of bronzes and jades from 2500 to 500 before BC, paintings by local artists performed during the Ming Dynasty.
Visit a silk factory, Lunch at Restaurant Xin Tian Lun, specialty of Suzhou.
Return by train to Shanghai. Free time.
DAY 4 [Monday, 04/10] SHANGHAI Exposition Universal 2010
Breakfast at the hotel.
Day devoted to visit the site of the Exposition Universal 2010 SHANGHAI.
Shanghai Expo 2010, is organized around the theme "better city, better life." It lasts 184 days (1st MAY to 31th October, 2010) and covers 5.28 km ² on the banks of the Huangpu River, south of the Bund and former French concession. The France House offers a setting for French culture. It was built in order to promote the development sustainable, wast the fewest resources possible. China House is red like the Forbidden City. Its architecture is inspired by Chinese tradition and illustrate the adage "crown of the East, China, granaries are full, people are rich."

Dinner at a restaurant with excellent local cuisine.
DAY 5 [Tuesday, 5.10] SHANGHAI, Exposition
Breakfast at the hotel. Day devoted to visit the site of the Expo.
Lunch, as a packed lunch.
Dinner at Grand Cafe, located at the 54th floor of the beautiful Grand Hyatt, reproducing the shape of a pagoda full of glass and steel. One of the best views of Shanghai, in an Art Deco futuristic.
DAY 6 [Wednesday, 06/10] SHANGHAI-FENGJING / SHANGHAI
Breakfast at the hotel. Take bus to Fengjing (about 45 min on road).
The village of FengJing shows a civilization more than 1500 years. These antique ans old buildings fascinate many foreign visitors. This village has in the past the role of a major communications hub between the towns of southern basin of the Yangtze River.
Yellow Wine Factory: meeting with the leader of the factory Jinfeng company. We will talk about the wine market in China and then walk through the ancient lakeside village FengJing with the director of factory.
Since 1939, Shanghai Jinfeng Wine Co.LTD has a long tradition of making yellow wine, it is one of the most prestigious in yellow wine enterprises in China (annual production of 200 million bottles). With the growth over the year by nearly 27%, "Jinfeng Wine" becomes the leader in the yellow wine market in a few years.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Take a walk in the ancient streets of the city. Visit peasant painters, the Post Imperial Qing period. Visit the Buddhist Temple of The Awakening, the Temple of King She, the Temple of forefathers Yu Family.
Boat trips on the canals and back to Shanghai by road.
Visit the Shanghai Museum located in the cultural heart of the city.
Designed to resemble the old DING (pots), it contains one of the most fabulous collections of Chinese art.
Dinner specialties Langyifang Shanghainese restaurant, located near the East Tower, overlooking the Bund.
DAY 7 [Thursday, 07/10] SHANGHAI / BEIJING
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet in the lobby of the hotel. Transfer together to the airport in Pudong, fly to Beijing.
Bus transfer to the Coal Hill (baggage forwarded to the hotel).
Climbing Coal Hill, we can discover a beautiful panorama of the Forbidden City.
It was built during the Yuan period with the soil from digging ditches and management of lakes. Only the Emperor had the right to walk in this hill.
Lunch in a restaurant located on Lake Qianhai whose specialty is the cuisine Hakka cuisine , from province of Fujian.
Visit the Forbidden City. Place of residence of the sovereign and political power, the Forbidden Purple City, known colloquially Gugong (means old palace), was really the focal point of the Kingdom. Protected by its walls and wide moats, it extends to the center of the imperial city, called tartare, surrounded itself by the city outside. His imprint on the capital of the Empire was symbolic and real because it was required to go around by the east side and western side. Palace and exhibition salle form all architecture of rare beauty.

DAY 8 [Friday, 08/10] BEIJING
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit a Manual manufacturing in north-western suburbs of Beijing. Meeting with the plant manager who will discuss his business to export.
Visit the Ming Tomb, Site chosen to host the geomancers cemeteries of last thirteen Ming emperors. This remarkable setting, protecting the graves of the negative influences brought by the prevailing winds of the North, is perfectly consisting the rules of geomancy. Walk along the path of spirit, lined with statues of stone monumental.

Visit Mutianyu Great Wall.
Raise up on high hills, average altitude of 800 m, and the wall snakes here in the forest. In this region of steep hills, the wall defended a strategical passage on the invasion route frequently used by the peoples of the North.
Overview of Newly-developed area ,in the north of the capital Beijing, that has received at the Olympic Games of 2008 athletes from around the world. Zoom in on the Olympic Village, the famous National Stadium "the Nest" and the pool "the cube".
Dinner at Quan Ju De resterant,in Wangfujing , specialty culinary of Beijing, Peking duck. The skin of the duck is the star of the meal, cooked skillfully and crisp, it is eaten wrapped in pancakes accompanied by a brown sauce and chives.
DAY 9 [Saturday, 09/10] BEIJING
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for the Summer Palace.
Located northwest of the capital Beijing, to visit the various pavilions and kiosks scattered gracefully; walk in the alleys and houses in the sides of romantic Lake Kunming. The palaces and gardens cover an area of about 2.7 square kilometers. The northern part of this Palace is occupied by the Wan Shou Shan Mountain (mountain of the very long life) on the slopes of which rise the flags of the imperial palace. Crossing the lake in "Dragon Boat" to enjoy this scenery Imperial.

Visit the Temple of Heaven.
Known by its majestic rotunda covered by a triple glazed blue tile roof. The emperor came here every summer solstice to implore heaven to grant his people a good harvest. It was built in the 15th century, rebuilt in the 17th century and remains one of the most remarkable examples of Ming architecture that has survived until today.
